DAWSON – Double Rider Leather Jacket

The Dawson draws from mid-century D-pocket motorcycle jackets, reimagined through our own lens with refined proportions and functional updates. It carries the heritage cues of classic riders while introducing details unique to Gloss Leather.

The signature D-pocket remains at the core, paired with a Western-inspired coin pocket cut with a pointed flap a nod to early workwear design rather than a strict reproduction of any single vintage pattern. The D-pocket features a hidden side-entry hand warmer, mirrored on the opposite side for symmetry and practicality.

Hardware includes vintage-style Talon zippers a 10 mm main zip with a leather pull tab and 7 mm pocket zips chosen for durability and authenticity. Side buckle adjusters allow for waist refinement, while the single-point back yoke ties the design together with a subtle Western influence.

Inside, the Dawson features a lightly quilted cross-stitch lining for comfort and structure without excess bulk, making it suitable for year-round wear. The shearling collar attaches and removes easily via concealed snaps, allowing a clean collar line when detached. The lining is 100% cotton twill for breathability and long-term durability.

This leather jacket is built from 1.5 mm full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide with a tea-core finish that will reveal warm brown undertones as it wears in. The Dawson is a modern evolution of the traditional double rider true to its roots, but built with forward-thinking design and craftsmanship by Gloss Leather.

Each jacket is designed in NY and crafted in our dedicated workshop in Pakistan. We oversee every step — from pattern drafting to leather selection to final inspection. Every piece is produced in small batches using full-grain leathers, custom hardware, and includes complimentary custom sizing on all builds.

Shipping Rates:

• Flat Rate: We offer a standard shipping fee of $19.99 USD for all orders within and outside the US & UK.
• Free Shipping: Enjoy free shipping on orders exceeding $99 USD.
• Inclusive of Taxes: All product prices include applicable taxes, so there are no additional tax charges beyond the total shown at checkout.

Please note: We are generally unable to ship to P.O. boxes or A.P.O. boxes due to shipping carrier restrictions.

Order Fulfillment Times

The time required to fulfill your order depends on item availability. Please refer to the item’s shipping details for specific fulfillment estimates.

• In-Stock Items: These items are typically prepared and shipped within 3 to 10 business days.
• Out-of-Stock/Custom Orders: Items not currently in stock, including custom orders, are usually handcrafted and shipped within two weeks. However, we recommend allowing 3 to 4 weeks for the fulfillment of these items to account for production and quality checks.

International Duties and Taxes

For customers outside the US & UK, please be aware that your order may be subject to duty fees and taxes imposed by the destination country. Gloss Leather does not collect these fees and is not responsible for additional charges.

Important:

• If you refuse to pay the required taxes, your order will be forfeited.
• We do not accept parcels marked as “returned to sender”; these parcels will be destroyed by the courier
• Refusing to pay taxes makes you ineligible for returns, exchanges, or reimbursements.
